Entra™ Special Design Decking by Green Plank is created for projects where the appearance of the finished deck matters just as much as durability and performance.
Unlike conventional decking systems, Entra™ uses a specially engineered concealed steel clip system. The clips are hidden beneath the boards, creating a clean and uninterrupted deck surface without visible screws or clips. The specially designed board geometry also visually minimizes the conventional open space between adjoining deck boards, helping to conceal the ground and substructure below.
The result is a refined, almost continuous-looking outdoor surface with the warmth and character of timber combined with the long-term advantages of modern wood plastic composite decking.
With up to approximately 70–75% beech hardwood fibre, carefully selected HDPE, European or USA-sourced additives, traceable raw materials and a surface developed for excellent grip and easy cleaning, Entra™ represents a distinctive approach to premium wood plastic decking.
One of the defining features of Entra™ is its installation system.
The decking profile has been specifically designed to work with purpose-developed steel clips installed beneath and between the boards. Once the deck is completed, the fixing system remains concealed from normal view.
This means there are no visible screws or exposed clips across the walking surface, giving architects and homeowners a cleaner and more sophisticated finish.
The profile geometry is also designed to reduce the visual appearance of the conventional gaps found between ordinary decking boards. From above, the ground and supporting structure beneath the deck are significantly less visible, creating a more uniform architectural surface.
For modern villas, hotels, restaurants, apartments, rooftop terraces and premium commercial developments, this concealed installation concept gives Entra™ a distinctive advantage over conventional wood plastic composite decking.
Entra™ is based on a carefully engineered wood plastic composite formulation that can contain up to approximately 70–75% beech hardwood fibre, depending on the specific product formulation.
The hardwood fibre is combined with prime HDPE or selected European-sourced recycled HDPE (rHDPE), together with carefully selected functional additives sourced from established suppliers in Europe or the USA.
The high hardwood-fibre content is an important part of the character of Entra™. It contributes to the board's stiffness, solid feel and natural appearance, while the HDPE polymer matrix binds and protects the wood fibres.
Coupling agents, UV stabilisers, antioxidants and other performance additives help create a balanced wood plastic formulation designed for demanding outdoor applications.
Entra™ is designed for customers who appreciate the natural character of timber but want the practical benefits of wood plastic composite.
Rather than creating an unnaturally uniform surface, Entra™ is designed to develop a subtle and natural colour evolution over time. This gentle change helps the decking develop a more authentic timber-like character while maintaining the advantages of a modern WPC product.
Natural timber changes slightly as it responds to sunlight and the outdoor environment. Entra™ takes inspiration from this characteristic, creating a wood plastic decking surface that feels less artificial and more connected to the natural appearance of wood.
The intention is not dramatic fading, but a controlled, subtle evolution in appearance that gives the terrace a more natural and established character.
A beautiful terrace also needs to perform safely in everyday use. For that reason, the Entra™ surface is specially designed with slip resistance as an important performance consideration.
The surface texture is engineered to provide good grip under normal outdoor conditions, making Entra™ particularly suitable for terraces and other areas where moisture and changing weather conditions are part of daily life.
This makes Entra™ an attractive wood plastic composite decking option for private homes, hospitality environments, apartment developments, public outdoor spaces and other projects where both appearance and practical performance matter.
Where a project requires compliance with a particular slip-resistance classification or test standard, the applicable Green Plank test documentation for the specific profile should be consulted.
Outdoor spaces are made to be used. Food, drinks, dust, leaves, rain and everyday foot traffic are all part of life on a terrace.
Entra™ has therefore been designed with a surface that is easy to clean and maintain. Routine cleaning with appropriate methods can help keep the decking looking attractive without the regular painting, staining or oiling associated with traditional timber decking.
For homeowners, this means more time enjoying the terrace and less time maintaining it. For hotels, restaurants, residential developments and commercial properties, an easy-care wood plastic surface can also help reduce ongoing maintenance requirements.
At Green Plank, we believe customers should know more about the materials used in the products they specify.
Entra™ is therefore built around a controlled supply chain with 100% traceability of its declared raw materials.
This provides greater transparency regarding the origin of the hardwood fibre, polymer and functional additives used in the wood plastic composite formulation.
For architects, developers, contractors, distributors and professional buyers, traceability provides a stronger basis for evaluating and specifying materials for long-term projects.
Entra™ has been developed with attention to material efficiency, long service life, traceability and a European-oriented supply chain.
The use of European-sourced materials where specified, the option of selected European recycled HDPE and European production can support a lower CO₂ footprint compared with relevant alternatives where this is demonstrated by the applicable environmental documentation.
For modern construction projects, environmental performance is increasingly about more than the material itself. Raw-material origin, transportation, maintenance requirements, expected service life and replacement cycles all contribute to the bigger picture.
A long-lasting wood plastic composite product that requires relatively little ongoing maintenance can therefore provide important advantages when a project is considered from a lifecycle perspective.
Nordic weather places demanding requirements on outdoor building materials.
Rain, snow, frost, moisture, cold winters, summer sunlight and repeated temperature changes can expose decking to very different conditions throughout the year.
Entra™ wood plastic composite decking has been developed with these challenges in mind.
The combination of beech hardwood fibre, HDPE, carefully selected additives and an engineered surface makes Entra™ particularly suitable for Scandinavian and Northern European outdoor environments.
It is a wood plastic solution designed not simply for one season, but for years of outdoor use.
Outdoor flooring should complement the architecture rather than limit it.
Entra™ is available in 5 carefully selected regular colours, providing a versatile palette for contemporary residential and commercial projects.
For qualifying architectural and project orders, Entra™ can also be produced in 4 additional colour options, giving architects access to a broader palette of up to 9 colour possibilities.
This allows architects and designers to coordinate the wood plastic decking with façades, windows, roofs, landscape architecture, outdoor furniture and the overall design theme of a project.
Instead of forcing the architecture to fit a limited decking palette, Entra™ gives designers greater freedom to integrate the terrace into the complete architectural concept.
Entra™ has been developed not only for appearance but also for efficient structural design.
Depending on the exact profile, application, loading conditions and installation requirements, selected Entra™ systems can be designed for support spacing of up to 600 mm c/c.
This can provide additional flexibility when designing a suitable substructure while taking advantage of the stiffness and structural characteristics of a high-quality wood plastic composite profile.
The applicable Green Plank technical specifications and installation instructions for the exact Entra™ profile and intended application must always be followed.
A premium deck should be designed for more than its first few years.
Entra™ has been developed as a long-life wood plastic composite decking system with emphasis on durability, material quality, stability and reduced maintenance.
Depending on the specific Entra™ product, application, correct installation and applicable warranty conditions, selected systems may be offered with warranty coverage of up to 25 years.
The high proportion of hardwood fibre, carefully controlled HDPE formulation, selected additives and purpose-designed profile work together to create a wood plastic product intended for a long service life.
Many conventional decking systems follow the same visual formula: parallel boards, visible gaps and a substructure that can often be seen between the boards.
Entra™ takes a different approach.
Its specially designed profile and concealed steel clip system create a cleaner, more continuous surface. The fixing system stays out of sight, while the board design reduces the visual interruption between individual profiles.
The result is a terrace that feels more like a complete architectural floor and less like a collection of individual decking boards.
For architects and designers, this creates new possibilities for using Wood Plastic Composite as an integral part of the architecture rather than simply as an outdoor floor covering.
One of the ideas behind Entra™ is simple: a high-quality composite deck does not need to look completely artificial.
The high proportion of natural wood fibre, carefully developed surface and subtle colour evolution help Entra™ maintain a warmer, more natural character.
This makes it particularly interesting for customers who appreciate real timber but prefer the practical advantages of wood plastic composite decking.
You get the architectural appearance and warmth associated with wood, together with the lower maintenance requirements, engineered formulation and long-term performance expected from modern wood plastic.
If you are a homeowner, architect, contractor, property developer, distributor, building-material merchant or professional buyer looking for a more distinctive decking solution, Entra™ offers an alternative to traditional WPC deck design.
