Haven™ Hollow Close Composite Fence – Modern Privacy Fencing with a Natural Wood-Inspired Look

Haven™ Hollow Close Composite Fence by Green Plank is a modern fencing system created for homeowners, architects, landscapers and professional projects looking for the warmth of wood with the practical advantages of Wood Plastic Composite technology.

Designed as a close-board Composite Fence, Haven™ can create a strong sense of privacy around gardens, terraces, patios, swimming-pool surroundings and residential or commercial outdoor spaces. For projects where privacy needs to be combined with a more open architectural character, the fencing system can also be designed with glass sections.

The Haven™ hollow fence profile measures 161 × 20 mm and weighs approximately 2.10 kg per linear metre. Its engineered hollow construction reduces unnecessary weight while maintaining the substantial appearance expected from a premium Composite Fence.

Depending on the current product specification, Haven™ contains approximately 55–60% beech hardwood fibre, selected European-sourced recycled HDPE (rHDPE) and functional additives sourced from Europe and/or the USA.

The complete fencing concept can be combined with aluminium or galvanized-steel fence posts manufactured in Europe, creating a practical system for modern residential and professional landscaping projects.

Approx. 55–60% Beech Hardwood Fibre

Haven™ contains approximately 55–60% beech hardwood fibre, depending on the current product specification.

The wood fibre contributes to the profile's stiffness, natural character and warm wood-inspired appearance. It is combined with recycled HDPE to create a balanced Wood Plastic Composite formulation designed for long-term outdoor use.

A high-quality Composite Fence is not determined simply by maximizing the percentage of wood fibre. The quality and consistency of the polymer, functional additives, fibre preparation, profile engineering and manufacturing process all contribute to the performance of the finished product.

European-Sourced Recycled HDPE

The polymer component of Haven™ uses selected European-sourced recycled HDPE (rHDPE).

When correctly formulated and processed, HDPE forms the polymer matrix surrounding the wood fibres and contributes to the profile's structural integrity, moisture resistance and suitability for outdoor applications.

Using recycled HDPE also gives existing polymer material a new, long-life application rather than relying exclusively on virgin resources.

Functional Additives from Europe and/or the USA

Modern Wood Plastic Composite technology requires more than wood fibre and polymer. Haven™ therefore uses selected functional additives sourced from Europe and/or the USA.

Depending on the formulation, these can support processing, UV stability, oxidation resistance, pigmentation and the interaction between the wood fibre and polymer matrix.

The Haven™ fence board has a profile dimension of 161 × 20 mm and weighs approximately 2.10 kg per linear metre.

The lower weight also makes individual boards easier to handle during transport and installation compared with heavier solid alternatives.

This initial settling of the colour is part of the natural weathering behaviour of a wood-containing composite surface and should not automatically be interpreted as a product defect.

The exact appearance and degree of colour evolution can vary depending on colour, sunlight, orientation, weather exposure and local environmental conditions.
